What is the American Dream? Is it oil? Money? Freedom? and at what cost?

Over the next couple of months I'm going to be diving into this arena head first. Some may take offense to the topic, or to the way I am going to go about opening the subject up to discourse... but, right or wrong, I think it's time we take a hard look at the cost we're being asked to pay for that freedom! Who's freedom? and who's going to pay the ultimate price?
